Yep. The red Zune that Adam posted about last week that finally hit Engadget yesterday, has a bid of $10,000 with 2 days left. 1st off, I am sure it’s bullshit. I seriously doubt that anyone is really going to pay that price. But, in the unlikely event that they are serious and they get wind of this site, I will gladly sell my prized Zune for 1/2 of that. That’s right, the elusive orange 30gb Zune for $5,000. Seriously.

I am not gonna lie, I was seriously considering purchasing it myself. When Adam posted it the other day, I decided to email the user to find out more about the Zune. I knew it was the Atomic that was uncovered in the source files a week earlier and was thinking about bidding up to $600-700. His response to my question helped me to decide not to buy it. I believe the seller is a lying sack. Here is his reply:

Dear lecktronix,
hi, this’s just a gift from my friend in my birthday, and i don’t need it because already got an ipod, just want to sell it

This might be true, but what about the other Zunes you’ve sold? What 20+ other Zunes successfully sold by the same seller. Seems quite fishy to me. Anyhow, if the buyer is really willing to pay $10k, talk to me, I have a super rare orange one for you too! (link)
