Will the Last Cat in the Bag Please Turn Out the Lights…

image Less then a day until Apple’s latest iPod party, and most of the cats seem to be done getting out of the bag and are already ripping apart Steve Jobs’ couch.

First of all, as is all over the net, Best Buy already has Belkin cases for “3rd Generation iPod Touch” and “5th Generation iPod Nano” up on their website. My only question is this….if the only changes are holes for the camera and mic on the back, why do you need a special 3rd Generation armband case? Need to get action shots of your bicep while running?

Another big cat out of the bag is a report on 9to5Mac that Yoko Ono told Sky News (in a story that has since been removed from the Sky News website, funny how that happens) that the entire Beatles library will indeed be available at iTunes following the announcement tomorrow. Lots of people tweeted about it when they saw it, however…the truth will not be contained in the age of twitter. If they got news out of Iran, they can get it out of Cupertino!

One other interesting development is that the comments on many Mac blogs seem to indicate that if the cameras are the main product improvement being announced tomorrow, most iPod diehards will be a bit disappointed. The faithful just don’t seem to be feelin’ cameras. To paraphrase one comment…”Thank god, now I will have THREE cameras on my person at all time. Two just wasn’t cutting it.”

They do have a point…but I admit if they do add cams to the Touch, I will buy a new 8GB one just so I can use a lot of the cool camera apps from the iPhone.
