Ok, I am not one to try a lot of new games really. This one is no exception. This is a game that used to entertain me for HOURS back in the Pocket PC days. I think it was called Lemonade Stand back then though. They didn’t have workers to hire either, but everything else was just about the same. As I understand it, Lemonade Tycoon has a free, ad supported version as well. This is the paid version. It was one of the 1st games I bought when I blew $100 in 2 days on apps.

Lemonade Tycoon is a game about your careen in Lemonade sales. It’s like the other “Tycoon” games out there in that you start from almost nothing and build your empire. When you start the game out, you can start a new career, a new challenge, or load a saved game. You have 4 slots to save games. The lower menu on the main screen give you the option to play, check out your career (highlights), configure options (far right image), get help, find out about the game, or quit.

Sometimes I can hack the music, but most of the time I can’t, so I turn music in games way down. Anyway, on to the game. You have a lot of variables to administer when playing Lemonade Tycoon. You’ve got  upgraded items,  Rent for better locations, helpers to hire, recipes to tweak, marketing, etc… You also have to make sure to keep up with your supplies, you don’t want to run out of cups on a hot day in the park.

After you get all your supplies, you start the day out in whatever location you are paying for. You start in your neighborhood and grow from there as you make money.   The day is realtime, but you can tap the arrows to speed up there day. The 1st set of arrows puts the day in fast forward and the other set just skip the watching the day view and gives you the day’s results. The results page shows all sorts of info and gives you a bottom line on what your day’s earnings were. Off to the right of the result numbers, you will get tips and reports about what hindered your day. They will tell you that you were too slow, that your recipe is whack, etc. Make ajustments and try the next day. Be careful not to lose your cash on a bad day.

Each day, you will get a forcast. Adjust your price and recipe according to the weather adn what is happing around town. If the beach is closed, don’t sell there. Common sense prevails sometimes.

For those that are goal driven, the game keeps stats for you too.

Wrap Up
The best $0.99 game I have bought so far. The game can consume you and your time. Be warned. This is a highly recommended game in my book. You get a fun story line to play out and you can get plenty of battery recharges before the game gets old.

Pros:

  • Fun
  • Long lasting game. Not just a 1 night stand.
  • Very good price. $0.00 or free (with ads)

Cons:

  • Addictive
