The PayPal application allows you to send money to your friends and family using your existing PayPal account. It’s fast, easy, and secure.
And now the PayPal application has been improved and upgraded. It’s even faster and more reliable to use and has added a handy transaction history, and new settings for the UK and Australia.
Just pick an amount and a contact, and we’ll take care of the rest. You can choose from 16 different currencies and can log into your account using your existing PIN or password.
The PayPal application is also great for checking your balance while you’re out. Need to know if you have enough money to buy something? Just log in to see all of your PayPal balances at once.
When you 1st start the app, you are on the send money tab. I don’t send money so this function is useless to me really. I mainly have this application for what it does best, check balance and recent activity. That’s it and it does that well.
Above left is the balance screen. The history tab brings some great info that I use often. In fact, this screenshot above has be calling Hokkaido, a Japanese steak house I eat lunch at often. They double billed me. I use the Paypal debit card as my main tender these days.
Wrap Up
Like I said, SIMPLE and to the point and quite handy. I was really hesitant to review the app since there is not much that can be said about it. It’s been around since the beginning, so most already know about it anyhow, but there might be someone that doesn’t know it’s out there so I decided to go foward with the review.
Why can’t I just use the mobile web to do what I do with Paypal? Simple, 2 taps and a password entered and I know my balance. Paypal’s App is perfect aside from my desire to send invoices from the application.
Pros:
- Simple and to the point
- Free
Cons:
- Would be perfect if I could invoice from the application.
