HTC Pure: First Impressions

Posted by Stephen Borders on Oct 14, 2009

pureChris has been gracious enough to allow me to review one of the first Windows Phone 6.5 models, the HTC Pure. the Pure of course is an itineration of the Touch Diamond 2. I have been using a Tilt for over a year (yeah I am past ready for a new phone) and I was anxious to get a hold of some new hardware. I Plan on not only a full review but also my take on Windows Phone 6.5

I have had the phone for about 12 hrs and wanted to share my first impressions.  It is very pocketable, it is small light and you can hardly tell it is there. The screen is beautiful, I love the higher resolution. It is much faster than my Tilt. I am trying to get used to the software keyboard I will have to let you know about that. So far so good.

If you think of something you would like me to give attention to Please post it in the comments and I will be sure to do so

  • For those of us who truly want to be "pure", can you verify whether you can turn TouchFLO off and have the standard Windows Mobile Today screen. Also ensure that all of the standard applications (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Messaging, IE, etc.) are there.

    Thanks,
