With Halloween less than a week away I thought I would put together a list of applications that can put you in the Halloween mood …

Hallowcarver

The app itself is pretty simple. Pick a pumpkin, pick a background and then draw on it and it actually “carves” what you draw into the pumpkin. The fun part is that you can upload your jack o lantern to their website where other people can vote, post it to facebook to show off to your fiends or even post it to twitter and the app costs .99 cents

Alive 4 Ever

Alive 4 Ever begins with the standard zombie epidemic plot, with the characters you’re able to select being the few people who somehow are showing no symptoms of the infection. Each of these four playable characters have slightly different starting weaponry and statistics, but thanks to a RPG-like experience system and extensive selection of weapons to purchase, it doesn’t really matter who you pick. With each level you complete, you will be awarded some experience and money. Gain enough experience to level up and you get ability points to spend to increase your character statistics such as adding to your total hit points or increasing your critical hit chance. You can start slaying the undead for $2.99 in the app store.

Haunted LCD

Haunted LCD is a throwback from the good old days when LCD games reigned. In Haunted LCD you are trying to defend your house from being overrun from the evils of the night. Armed with only your trusted flashlight you must keep the monsters at bay till the morning comes. Don’t get too comfortable as your batteries won’t last the night. When they get too low you will be powerless against the enemy in the dark. Fortunately you just installed the Super Charger 3000. It will charge your flashlight batteries in the blink of an eye.Pick it up for $.99 in the app store.

These and many more spooky apps and games can be found at the iTunes app store.
