EA Mobile is set to introduce Rock Band for iPhone and iPod touch by the end of this month, with a full support to multiplayer play and in-game downloadable songs. The iPhone version would have four note lanes with options to play guitar, bass, drums, or vocals.

Rock Band for iPhone has two different modes for play – either via Bluetooth or by joining friends playing on the network. The game also supports QuickPlay and World Tour modes. Customers have a choice to use different interfaces for guitar/bass, drums, and vocals.

The game is based on three lanes for rhythm only, irrespective of instrument being used. The latest version – Tap Revenge 3 – provides a variety of in-game downloadable content besides 20 popular tracks including “Attack”, “Girl’s Not Grey”, “Hanging on the Telephone” and “Learn to fly”.

Customers can enjoy Rock Band for iPhone and iPod touch later this month. It is capable to work with any iPhone or iPod touch with iPhone OS 3.0 or higher. Pricing details are yet to be announced, but the Rock Band version for other mobiles would come with a price tag of $4.99.
