Wow, was I shocked to receive an email from Zune Orders explaining that they screwed up on the website! I question how many people out there have made the same ordering mistake and been over-charged but have not gotten their orders corrected or refunded.

I knew they had made some type of mistake in the pricing of the Zune HD AV Power Pack for $89.99 which was corrected sometime in the last two weeks, now showing for $39.99.  But the best part is what I have to go through in order to return the damn thing.  Instead of them shipping out a Sync Dock which costs $49.99 so we are “square,” they want me to waste my money and time to package, insure and return the cable power pack accessory.  After which they will issue a refund and I will have to purchase the accessories all over again at the correct price.  Kind of bass ackwards or inefficient but I would have requested a refund and bought them in stores myself just to avoid another incorrect pricing situations.

So I am still left wondering the following:

  • When are they going to update the site with the Order Status in an easy find place?
  • Now that they have corrected the price, how many people were effected and will they be getting a refund/replacement with a public apology?
  • Will they be adding the complete pack for $89.99 as they originally intended?
