Zune Software On Windows Phone Confirmed By Ballmer

I don’t use my phones as media players myself. There is that little thing about batter life that keeps me from becoming completely converged. When that happens, I’d be down for some media player functions on my phone. Being an avid Zune owner and loving the “Zune Pass” model, it would be super hot to throw my Touch Pro 2 on the sync cable and sync my “Zune Pass” content to my phone. I can’t see that this would be too hard to pull off with the modern Snapdragon chips getting out there.

Anyway, Mr. Ballmer himself confirmed what we’ve all known already, Zune Software is coming to Windows Phone. The rumor mill says this is part of the "fabled” Windows Mobile 7 everyone keeps referring to. Hmm… maybe they are on to something. :)

Check out around the 8:40 mark for the confirmation.

  • Even if you seldom really listen to music on your phone, like me, it is great to have the option to cherry pick your collection, or just be able to put a few songs on your phone to annoy the other cubical dwellers with.

Plus, the ringtone possibilities would be great fun.

    The more Zune, the better.
