Which is which? Ok, that’s easy, the fake is on the right. I like the idea of the fake though. An external keyboard. Even though I have learned to tap out messages pretty damn quick with the iPhone now, I still love the slide out keyboard concept that the HTC Touch Pro 2, The Cliq, and the Moto Droid have. I really wish Apple would make a slider version of the iPhone. I would pay $1k for that right now, seriously.

Anyhow, I found this article over at Slashgear about a concept version of the iPhone from Isamu Sanada. It looks like a slab of brush metal with the screen extended all the way to each edge. It looks really hot. Too bad it’s just concept art. We’ll never see it.

The fake is a Dapeng T2000, which appears to be an actual device. It’s an obvious rip off of the iPhone, but an actual production unit. At least that’s what the website selling it makes it appear as. Engadget loves to show us fakes from around the world though.
