I hate to bring bad press unwarranted, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. BoingBoing posted today about a class action lawsuit brought against the developer of above mentioned names. They are saying that Storm8 is capturing your phone number when you run their games and transmitting the numbers.

"Storm8 has written the software for all its games in such a way that it automatically accesses, collects, and transmits the wireless telephone number of each iPhone user who downloads any Storm8 game," the suit alleges. " … Storm8, though, has no reason whatsoever to access the wireless phone numbers of the iPhones on which its games are installed."

That’s scary if you think about. Imagine the text messaging spam something like this could generate. If you have used any of their games, I would do some extra research before running them again, but it’s probably too late now.
