The Battle for Wesnoth has been around for quite a while with versions for both Mac and Windows. After months of waiting, the iPhone port has arrived.

The iPhone version looks very similar, if not exactly the same as the desktop version. My overall first impressions are good. The gameplay was a relatively smooth experience, and it’s really a successful port. It does use quite a bit of memory, so if you have an older device, gameplay will be more choppy and quite a bit slower. I have been testing this app for a while, and it’s really come a long way.

The Battle for Wesnoth app is available in the App Store for $5. Props to Kyle Poole for all his hard work!
