OK, if you want to upgrade your phone, HTC has the deal for you. From November 27th through December 31st, you can trade in your current smartphone in on the purchase of an HTC Tilt 2, HTC Touch Pro2, HTC Imagio, or HTC Ozone. If your smartphone is on the approved phone list, you can grab a $100 rebate check from HTC. The approved phone list is decent sized too!

The way it works is simple. Once the new phone is purchased, the customer can go to the appropriate site below and enter their specific promotional code. This will provide them with a mailing label, which they use to send their old smartphone, a copy of the UPC code from the new phone, and a copy of the invoice from the new phone. After that, they get a $100 check in the mail!

Thanks HTC, this is pretty nice of you. Is your smartphone still worth more than $100?

regarding the HTC Touch pro2 what if you purchase though AmazonWireless is the trade-in rebate still good?

The dates are different for all three carriers. Check dates for your carrier, you may get longer period if you are planning to by the Tilt2. :)

  • Thanks. I didn't notice that.

I was going to do this but you need to read the requirements. There can be no water damage and acceptance is soley at the discretion of the company handling the return. I dropped mine in the water about 8 months ago. I dried it out and it works but it is a little flaky.
  • The phone also has to power up, so you can't send non-working phones. That may also mean that you have to send the charger to be safe.

If you can combine this with Verizon's New Every 2 program, maybe you can even make money on some phones. For example, you can get an HTC Ozone for $50 after a $100 rebate with a two-year contract if you're a new user. With a $50 or $100 NE2 discount, that means the phone is free (I don't know if they'll give you money back) and if you add in the HTC $100 rebate, you could make $100. :D

Well, if you are such a HTC hater, why did you even bother to post this?
  • For you to have made this comment, you obviously took my comment out of context and I know that you are a new reader. I am one of HTC's biggest cheerleaders.
