Yes, you read that right. Wal Mart is selling the Tilt 2 for 1 cent. Take that offer, get a $100 rebate from HTC and you have a hot phone and you make $99.99. Sounds like the best deal ever if you ask me.

Now this isn’t exactly getting $99.99 absolutely free, that part comes from the HTC trade in program I posted about the other day. I mean, if you qualify and plan to do it anyhow, it’s a sweet deal.

  • Chris: I just called and the phone is free ONLY for the PRIMARY account (on a familytalk plan) AND if you subscribe to the UNLIMITED voice plan. Otherwise, it is $99.99. In all cases, you also must have a minimum $30 data plan. Not quite the good deal it appears to be.
  • It seems like every carrier makes you get a data plan for smart phones now, so the $30 data plan isn't unreasonable. As for the unlimited voice, even if you don't get it, with the $100 HTC rebate, you're basically getting the TouchPro 2, the car charger and the Bluetooth headset for free.

It may not be quite as good as it sounded at first, but it's still a great deal. I wish Verizon would do one-cent sales. :( The best Windows Mobile deal that I saw on Verizon during the Black Friday period was an HTC Ozone for $10 (after a Verizon rebate); with the HTC rebate, you could make $90.
