This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Having used dozens of cases from some of the best case makers for PDAs in the past, I was reluctant to give this one a look. I had never heard of the company. As soon as I opened the pouch to get a look at this leather case, I knew they were for real. The craftsmanship and leather quality rivals companies like Sena Cases, Piel Frama, and others I have used in the past. The case’s leather scent was welcome.
This particular case style from Beyzacases comes in a lot of nice finishes and colors like crocodile, Khaki, and several colors of leather.
Specifications:
- MultiFlip is designed & crafted to perfectly fit your iPhone 3G S
- Dockable
- New Removable Flap
- Access to basic functions (multiple openings on the leather)
- Hidden Magnetic closure
- Slim and padded design
- Protects the device in an optimal manner
- Opening for recharge
- Double side genuine leather with Beyza logo inside
- 1 multi-purpose pocket on removable flap
- Beyza removable & swivel belt clip system (knob is also removable)
This case can be used with or without a clip. I personally choose without in most cases. With this case, I would choose without either way. This clip is not one of the better clip systems I have encountered. It is easy to assemble though. They include a couple screws to hold the button in place as well as a make shift screwdriver of sorts to help putting it together.
The case is a really soft, rich leather and it has all the openings that we need to use our device open for easy access. The only part of I don’t like is the openings that expose the bottom corners of the iPhone.
As you can see above, the power button and audio jack are clearly usable.
This view shows one of the most unique aspects of this particular case that I really like. Instead of having to dig your finger through the leather to access the home button, they have a button built into the case that mates with that button to allow for use without having to stick your finger down into the hole.
At 1st glance, it seems that the cut out allowing the speaker to be heard is out of alignment, but this is all for good reasons. The extra space to the left of the speaker cut out is for the sensors. That would really be bad news to have those covered. Above this cut out, you can see the silhouette of a circle. There is a magnet behind this that keeps the cover closed.
Here is something really nice about this case. The cover flap is removable. This allows you to use this case in other ways. I prefer the cover, but I can see reasons to have it off.
The cut outs are flawless. The camera is totally unobstructed.
Here is our unboxing and 1st look at this case:
Pros:
- Excellent leather craftsmanship
- Ability to remove cover gives options for using the case in different ways
- All key controls and ports unobstructed
Cons:
- Bottom edges exposed
- Clip system is awful and clunky
Final Thoughts
This is a quality case made from high quality leather. The openings in the case all make sense, except the ones exposing the lower two corners of the iPhone. I am not sure about the price with other companies putting out just as good cases at the same price point or lower, but you do get what you pay for.
