Yesterday we saw a new “retro” app released to the Cydia Store called iClassic.  (You really didn’t think Apple would approve this for the App Store did you?)  It brings the click wheel interface back to your iPhone or iPod Touch for those of you who miss your click wheel iPods but must have the latest thing out of Cupertino.  After a little bit of playing around, this is one novelty app I think I’ll hold on to.  There is also an option to have iClassic launch when you double tap on the home button in place of the “standard” iPod controls, however I couldn’t get it work work for me, even after restarting springboard.  Check out a few more photos and one more minor detail after the break.

Minor Detail:  The app itself does not ship with the original iPod styling presumably because of Apple’s crack ninja lawyer team putting the beat down on the skin.  However, those of you who have Winterboard installed can get a skin to make it look like a real iPod Classic.  It should have shown up in Cydia right below iClassic when your sources were updated.
