The B&N Reader for iPad hit the App Store today, bringing with it several nice elements found on their Nook eReader, including the LendMe feature which lets you lend books to other B&N users for 14 days. The application allows you to add notes and highlights to what you are reading, and gives you access to your B&N Library, just as is possible on the Nook, PC or iPhone versions.
At first glance the App looks quite usable and pleasant enough and in fact appears to be more customizable then either iBooks or Kindle, allowing you more font and color options. However, as on other devices, only books you buy from Barnes & Noble need apply since their is no other way to add books to the library. Still, if you are a B&N user, then the iPad version of their eReader looks like a great reading option.
