iPhone 4 reception issue is a software bug?

A LOT of talk is going on right now about the iPhone 4 reception issue. If you hold the phone with the bottom left corner covered with your hands, you seem to lose signal, and drop calls. Now, we were all thinking that it was a hardware issue, but BGR posted a video of someone demonstrating this issue….on a iPhone 3G. The video shows a guy using an iPhone 3G running iOS 4, showing off the same issue. That really makes me think that it’s a software bug, and it can be fixed with an software update. I don’t know, check the video out yourself!

      In any phone if you hold it putting your hand close to the antenna location the reception will drop a little bit. What I never have seen is losing the whole reception like I have seen it now in the i4.
