It seems like the last couple weeks you can’t go anywhere online without running into yet another leaked WP7 handset. The one that was outed this weekend is yet another device from HTC, the Mozart. This will join the Mondrian and the HD7 in the rapidly expanding HTC Windows Phone 7 lineup, as well as probably more devices that have yet to be leaked or that I have forgotten about.
The info comes from a PowerPoint slide prepared by a phone dealer in the UK, Phones4U and while the device itself is interesting, I found the bit of internal marketing blurb on the slide to be even more fascinating.
As you can see, Phones4U views 25 as a bit older then their normal buyer (ouch) but is expecting WP7 to be a big seller. I especially like the point that a windows Phone 7 device will be “less obvious” than other choices.
All in all, the Mozart certainly looks solid techwise, if no prodigy. According to the leaked PowerPoint slide, the Mozart will feature:
- 3.7-inch 800×480 pixel TFT LCD
- 1GHz CPU (I would guess a SnapDragon or Hummingbird chip)
- Rear facing 8MP camera with Xenon flash and 720p video recording (a front cam as well? No idea yet)
- 1300mAh battery
- 8GB of memory
- Sensors for ambient light, gravity, compass, and proximity
- Bluetooth 2.1
- 802.11n WiFi
As of now the Mozart will be released in the UK sometime in late October, no word on carrier (if any), bands or price yet…or if it will come to the US as well.
