About time, right? I know many people have been waiting for this day come and finally it is here. It only cost 20 hard earned dollars, plus your early termination fee from your carrier. But what’s so bad about a measly $300+ to have your number forever? All I want now is to be able to port it without cancelling my own plan. You hearing me, Google?

How do you expect them to do that? If your number is ported, your carrier doesn't have the account.

In fact, if your Google Voice number forwards to your cell phone, I'm not sure what the point of porting would be.
