Southwind Bluetooth Headset

Posted by John Hatfield on Dec 07, 2006 | Comments

I recently picked up a Southwind Bluetooth headset from Cingular when I bought my Blackjack. It jumped out at me because it was only $39.99 and it looked pretty nice. I figured I would eventually return it because i was not confident in the fact that it would be very good. Boy was I shocked!!  Not only does it come with three colors for the face of the headset but it actually sounds great and looks pretty good too....

Straight forward Blackjack Review!

Posted by John Hatfield on Dec 07, 2006 | Comments

Ok, so over the past few weeks I have seen a million comparisons and reviews of the new Blackjack from Cingular. Every one of them makes the obvious Q comments. I am here to say one thing….. THE BLACKJACK IS THE BEST OVERALL PHONE I HAVE EVER USED…. PERIOD!!!!! I have had just about every phone I can think of since the old samsung i300 phone right up through the treos, blackberries, 6700’s, and so on. I...

Posted by John Hatfield on Sep 24, 2006 | Comments

I got a 3125 about a week ago and up to this point I have been very pleased. I have been very curious about the quality of the the stereo bluetooth headsets I have seen. When I bought the 3125 and had a chance to play with the music buttons and interface I knew I wanted to at least check out stereo bluetooth.  WOW, I was very supprised at the sound quality of the spider. In addition the range was amazing, I...

Wow, this could be the perfect form factor!! HTC Libra.

Posted by John Hatfield on Sep 13, 2006 | Comments

I just came across this post on Phonescoop.com and was blown away by this phone. One of my biggest problems with my ppc-6700 and all slide out keyboard phones is the lack of a numeric keypad for dialing. I had the LG vx-9800 and liked the form factor but the lack of windows was a deal killer for me. This looks like it builds on that idea, and adds windows 5.0. I was very excited to see that the CDMA version is going...

What’s the deal with Handango?

Posted by John Hatfield on Aug 31, 2006 | Comments

$6.95 "download protection fee", you gotta be kidding me. I have been a long time user of handango and have never had a problem with them in the past, until today!!  Four months ago I went on a little software spree and bought four titles within a month. Everything went great, the software downloaded fine, and I went on with my business.  Today I had to re-download a title from the spree so I logged...

The $100 Laptop Finally Exists!!

Posted by John Hatfield on Aug 23, 2006 | Comments

After years of speculation and rumors the $100 laptop has finally come to fruition.  It seems that in October or November Taiwanese school children will be the first to receive these laptops.  With overall prices going down on electronics I am hopeful that the prices of our beloved mobile devices will start to come down as well.  Check out this article on CNN.com for the whole story.. "The ambitious...

Navizon offers new Pricing and Rewards Plan

Posted by John Hatfield on Aug 15, 2006 | Comments

"…the idea behind the Navizon model is fairly simple: some users who have a GPS device are mapping the wireless landscape in their neighborhoods so that other users who don’t have a GPS will be able to use a positioning system that works without a GPS by triangulating Wi-Fi and/or Cellular signals. Like in every community, there are the people who do the work and others who benefit from it. Starting today,...

No Windows mobile support for Mobile NFL?

Posted by John Hatfield on Aug 14, 2006 | Comments

I was recently very excited when I saw instructions on downloading the new NFL Mobile application from Sprint. It said text NFL to 7777 and await a link to download the application.  A few minutes later I got a familliar reminder of the constant lack of support from carriers in giving us Windows Mobile users access to premium content such as ringtones, screen savers or in this case Mobile NFL. The message said that...

There are two parts to this new program.  The first part is a new mobile version of msn messenger, It has a great user interface and seems to be very stable so far. The second part is a portal that aggregates all of your MSN contacts, all of your local email accounts, Messenger, Windows Live Search and an RSS news portal....
