You'd be surprised how much battery life you get (even from the 1100 battery) when you turn the screen off. All the major players can do this (GSPlayer, TCPMP, Mortplayer, etc), and let you map hardware buttons to switch the screen. I've listened to music for over 4 _hours_ on the standard battery, and still had plenty of charge left. Those of us with bigger batteries can do even better :)
