The outlook email item in Pocket Outlook is for only syncing emails between the PDA & your desktop Outlook. If you want to actually send and receive emails from the PDA w/o having the PDA connected to the PC, add a new account to Pocket Outlook using the same connection information you used in your desktop Outlook. Pocket Outlook should be able to connect via wifi and do any emailing you need.
