I just got a x51v and have a dell d600 laptop.

At work I have a docking station and have the cradle connected to the docking station usb port. Installed activesync 4.1 and all is working fine.

Brought the cradle home this evening and plugged it into the back of of the laptop. But activesync now will not connect. It gets hung connecting. Went through the whole uninstall and reinstall active synch, soft and then hard resets of the pda (luckily I dont have much data yet). But no go.

Looking on the web I found a pda help site that says often there are sync problems unless one uses the same usb port as where the pda was installed.
I followed his suggested procedure of going into device manager and uninstalling the PPC usb driver. But still no joy.

Anyone know what might be the problem here? Thanks for any help.
