It depends what you want to do with you Axim.

I went for the 400 because of the extra RAM, and not so much for the speed. If you will mainly use the Axim as a PIM I think you might be happy with the 300, but if you want to run a few applications and use the Axim for more than a Palm substitute I suppose you should go for the 400.
