i'm actually considering downgrading to a 300 w/pxa255 from my 400 w/pxa250. the thing with the ram is that my programs barely seem to use more than 12 or 15 MB of it, and i barely use any of the RAM set aside for storage (use two 256 MB SDs instead). I do use the BIS to store all my programs though. after removing my ebooks from the BIS, it looks like i'm only using 8 or 9 MB for actual programs. but i guess the basic would only have like 4 MB left over after you account for WM2003.
