In a nutshell, Resco has more features, though Total Commander can definitely hold it's own and is free and does have some features that I find valuable that Resco does not have.

Nice list - thanks! One more question, though (couldn't find the info on their web side): can TC change file assiciations? I tried GSFinder for that and couldn't get it work for me :-(
