so if you say at the os level you mean it can be used for flashing only the os w/o the bootloader if so this is a need please upload it somewhere as many of us has dead x51v with a06 needing to reflash using SD loader thanks

Unfortunately none of the rom dumps produce a valid .img for flashing, either the os dump or the bootloader dump. I've got a dead axim stuck at the dell logo (this seems to be common) and also a replacement axim which I've been attempting to do a rom dump of to revive the dead brick.
None of the rom's work with the SD update and I receive the "No Suitable Image found".
Has anyone made any more progress producing a rom for the x51v?
