Same here. I tried everything until I got to Fairuse. One software does it all. I have a vga screen so I adjus the picture to a setting as close to 640x480 as possible, and I choose 128mp3 sound b/c I have really good headphone. I like to use 475 mb per movie, but I have 4G of storage. It's all personal preference. The only problem I found w/this type of software in general is it takes 3-4 hours to convert a movie, so experimentation is slow.
Let me know if you need help w/fairuse. The first time you use it it may look dificult, but once you've done it a couple times and keep choosing the auto settings for everything but the picture and sound you'll see how easy it is.
