The advantage of some of these "fancy keywallet type programmes" is that they have desktop counterparts which allow you to access and modify your encrypted data from both PDA and PC. It is very handy, really. The ability to sort/filter/categorize provided by these programs it most useful, too.
For all other kinds of encryption (confidential office files etc.) I use Resco Explorer.
