I installed CE-dict, and afterwards started having problems with my WiFi drivers spontaneously unloading after a few hours. While I'm not certain this cased the issue.. the fact that it happened shortly after CE-Dict went on wasn't very reassuring to me, and I ended up doing a hard reset this afternoon, spending an hour or two reinstalling everything before doing a full backup so the next hard reset wouldn't be as ardous.

So far the font changes have worked well for me - it's pretty much what I wanted from CE-Dict in the first place (viewing pages in Chinese and Japanese), but without the extra memory usage and installation hassles.

But if you want Chinese text-entry, CE-DICT Suite's one of the few pieces of software out there for this, IIRC.
