Sorry to hear about your Spb Back up problems. I haven't had any major problems with Spb Backup. I'm not a pro or anything; however, I do own almost all the Spb programs....Let me see if I can help:
1. Make sure you have the latest versions of Spb Backup and ActiveSync.
2. Make sure when you restore a backup after a hard reset the time and date on your Axim are correct. It won't successfully restore if the time and date are set to their default settings.
3. Lastly, if all else fails re-install Spb Backup and cross your fingers.
Give it another try. I love Spb Backup and it works great for me. I have it scheduels to backup every night when docked. So, don't give up on Spb. If you still have any problems...i guess you'll just have to email Spb tech support.
