I can read for a good while without problems. A couple hours. I rarely have time to read more than 30 minutes at a time though. I know I used to read for hours at a time with paper, but life changes.

I agree that things could be better with scrolling. I use auto scroll, which I think it a great tool, but it does strain the eyes more than just scrolling page by page. I do think that some programs do better than others and obviously some screens are better than others.

I would play with text sizes and see if that helps. I have tried to make things as small as possible to get the most text I can into a screen, but then I upgraded to a x51v and I can't read the smallest possible text on a VGA screen. But others find it easier to have the text larger than normal and a faster scrolling speed.
