Has anyone found a working fix for the slow internet connection under WM5 using WiFi?

Tried a forum search and didnt get any good results. Everything is so slow on my x51v that its no joke. Just to load Google pocket IE will say "locating" for 60 seconds before even establishing a connection.

Email takes about 90 seconds to log onto the server just to see if there are messages to download. God help me if there are messages ;)

NewsBreak v1.01 takes almost 10 minutes to update 5 rss feeds.

I know its not the Axim. I also have an iPaq that before the WM5 upgrade, blazed on the net over WiFi. Since I upgraded the iPaq to WM5 its just as slow as my x51v.

I tried the TCP regedit from PPC2003 and did not make any difference. Not better but at least not worse.

Tried AC power and no go. Tried disabling power management for Wireless and no go.

So. Does anyone have any tips or ideas how to improve performance?
