Can Outlook 2003 use activesync 3.8 or is there some need for it to use 4.1? I'm hoping to upgrade because Outlook 2002 is just so useless.

I have Outlook 2003 (don't use it for email, only for contacts, tasks, calendar, etc.). I have been able to sync my Axim X50v with the info in Outlook using ActiveSync 3.8, except for the Notes. I can sync Notes that I have typed in my Axim, but not Notes that are hand-written or Notes that I compose on my laptop in Outlook. Not sure why, but that's how it is. I use Pocket Informant for my PIM on my Axim.
