Some more words.... is some sort of order
A01, A02, A03 etc
1) The Rom version of your Axim, not to be confused with the hardware revision
2) The Hardware revision of your Axim, not to be confused with the Rom version

For reasons known only to Dell The Rom revision use the same numbering
scheme. See Rom Revision and Hardware version

Cases - The Quest for the perfect case (TM) is an adventure that all PDA
owners embark on once they have their new baby in their hands. Shock
proof? Scratch proof? Drop proof? waterproof? Bullet-proof? And still
slim enough so it doesn't spoil the fit of your jacket pocket.... Hard
to find, but if you wanted a simple life you'd still be using pen and
paper

Hardware revision
- A number that tells Dell which version of sticky
tape holds the Axim together. Or something like that. Nobody knows what
the difference is between an A01 and an A10 Axim, but it doesn't seem to
make much of a difference.

Perfect PDA - A mythical device that doesn't exist. Until it does you'll
always have to trade features against each other. Size vs. Cost vs.
Memory vs. USB host vs. VGA out etc... So one ideal PDA will be
different from another's

Rom version
- Rather than issuing patches one by one, Dell waits until
it has a collection and then issues a new version of the Rom. Including
all the patches and tweaks that they have thought up. Updating to the
latest rom is usually a good thing, although it does involve wiping your
Axim completely. At which point you have to install everything again.

Screen Protector
- How much did that Axim cost you? How much would a new screen cost? You DO need a screen protector, and get a nice one that
will last for years, rather than the cheap ones that will last for days.
You can tell the difference.

Staff Members
- People who are hard(?) at work behind the scene making sure aximsite is a happy place. They include Administrators, Moderators, News Editors, Reviewers, and Hamster herders. They do all this for the love of the job, and seek no rewards (apart from the free beer and Magic Flight rings)
