While I've been waiting for my axim to arrive, I've been looking for stuff (ie. memory, wifi, camara).
I also would like to connect to the internet through my nextel phone. I have nextel I95C with packet data through my company. I can connect to the internet through my laptop via a serial adapter. I found the following options I'd like to try when my Axim comes in.
First is a serial adapter that allows the Axim to sync cable to connect with the Nextel pc cable. It can be found on the nextel.com web page under phone/accessories. The part number is NTN8993
. It's on sale for 9.95.
If this works, I won't go the second option, because of the expense. SOCKET makes an adapter for the i50sx/i80s/i85s/i90c phones to connect to a Pocket PC via the flash card slot. This might be a faster connection speed, but the cost is $99.00 (http://www.esend.com/socket/product.asp?sku=DP3088%2D360&mscssid=66RR1BXLN TU29KGSDMB5HJLLWB8W4AH9#).
If anyone can try either method, please update this thread. I won't be getting my axim until the middle of February per Dells estimate. I'll try the db9 connector method and provide feedback.
Hope this helps,
Thanks
