But, the reason you don't use a Desktop PC's antivirus scan is the same reason you don't prescribe antibiotics for someone's chest cold; they're completely different beasts, and a virus that works on a PC wouldn't affect a Pocket PC any more than a virus that infects fish would normally affect a human.[/FONT] You could scan for desktop PC viruses which may be harbored on a file... but you wouldn't catch something that'd kill a Pocket PC.

This may sound a tad pedantic, but was it not the case that humans died from avian bird flu and beef importation was banned by some countries because of the fear of humans contracting deadly animal bound diseases?
Though the Desktop PC and the PPC are different beasts, isn't it true that in many cases data is usually synced via a desktop and therefore the antivirus (AVS) on the desktop can be configured to scan data before the transfer to the PPC.
Of course the probability of a PPC being infected is still relatively low compared to a desktop.
