nope.. buy the ram off the shelf and load up.

Personally, I'd buy the max I could get from Dell and then it would be warrantied. I'd also max the lifespan of the warranty (at least 3 years)

If it were to accudentally fall after 2 1/2 years and fubar the mainboard, odds are that it would be replaced with a newer model (still refurbed of course)
