In my previous post, I have to take back item #2.
Try this before you do a hard reset. Uninstall Active Sync, go to the folders and delete any residual files (except the installer). Then reboot PC. Install Active Sync again. Note: when I did this it put the number 1 after WM John.
Before syncing be sure to clear the check box as mentioned in item #6, unless you are syncing through a network.
This is a lot easier than hard reset. But, if this fails then use the backup feature, (just in case), then proceed with you hard reset.
I have SK Tools that does a complete backup of all programs, registry, user settings.
