Mobility Site - View Single Post - Active Sync not appearing on Uninstall List

I've suddenly started having connection issues between my Axim x51v (running Windows Mobile 5) and my two XP computers. I've attempted to unintall Active Sync from the Axim but when I bring up the list under Remove Programs, every program installed on the device is there EXCEPT Activesync. Its still on the device and running but I don't know of a way to uninstall it. I can't just delete the Activesync files without causing problems can it?
