Yeah, I miss WIFI syncing too. I held out for as long as i could, but when I bought a WM5.0 device, I had no choice but to shift over to AS 4.
Bluetooth syncing works pretty well, although not quite as convenient and takes more steps to use it. And of course, if you've got IR on your computer, that still works too.
