This thread brings up the question -- what is Microsoft's position on WM 6 and application portability? Was WM 6 designed to run 100% of programs written for WM 5? It seems portability of WM 2002 /3 apps to run under WM5 has been an issue; I hope this MS tradition is not continued when moving from WM5 --> WM6 --> "Photon" and forward.
I have invested in The 2007 Best of Everything Applications package for my X51v, and if I purchase a WM 6-based PDA or SmartPhone next year, I hope that I can install and run
all the WM 5 based apps that came in that great package deal.
