How Quickly We Forget!
Listen to you all. Sounds like a bunch of chickens waiting for feeding time. Pardon my cynacism, but have you all forgotten how badly we have been treated by HP in the past. Don't you remember all the misery we went went through with the first "Dream Machine"--the hx4700. All this forum traffic reminds me of the forum traffic when the 4700 was first being released. I couldn't wait to get my hands on one. But then the first week I had it, it was so quirky that I almost sent it back. I managed to get it somewhat operational with a lot of help from you folks in these forums. Even with the hacks and work arounds I finally got fed up and bought an hx2795. It works fairly well, but will never see WM6 unless our favorite Russian does a ROM upgrade for it. Think back to when HP took months to get the WM5 to us. It didn't work worth a damn and they had the gall to charge us $40.00 for it.
I must admit to having had the same feelings as the rest of you when I first started reading the first info on the iPAQ 210. It sounds like the "Dream Machine" that we hx4700 people have been waiting for. I remember how our dreams ended up as nightmares during the past couple of years. I'm still using my hx4700 again and it's working quite well these days.No thanks to HP for that. I still consider it to be the best PPC going. I would much rather have a PPC than a smartphone.
I'm going to watch the forums for a while to see how this iPAQ 210 pans out before I order one.
