When you sync files to your pocket pc, ActiveSync creates a separate My Documents folder and names it something like "Julie My Documents," where Julie is the Device ID of the Pocket PC. This folder can be found within your main My Documents folder on your computer, so the path to this information will look something like this:

\My Documents\Julie My Documents

If the My Documents folder Active Sync created on your computer was created under your Husband's name, it sounds like you have two different logins on that computer, and you were logged in under your Husband's name. Since your husband does not use that computer, why not delete his login, delete the My Documents folder that was created, and try doing this again?
