I just uninstalled Office again as it took over my Eudora default even though I configured it in both Office and Eudora and couldn't access Eudora at all (as I have to go thru a devious way to get at it).
Is the Dell Axim any use without Windows Office? I do not want to use Office as I am not up to reinstalling all contacts etc. from Eudora because of all the volunteer work I do on email and send out to lists. I'm mostly at home and don't need Office.
But, is there a replacement as a PIM, not to augment WM Office but as a replacement for Calendar, etc. which would work without the Windows Mobile underpinning?
I am not sure I shall invest all the money in this handheld after all but I do love it. It's just a hassle to fight Office and the way it poured my docs into the WM folder rather than where I was saving them. Last night after looking at Office again (fatal mistake) I noticed I couldn't right click and send attachments thru Eudora, Office took that over too. But I could go into Eudora and attach them there of course.
However, this morning I couldn't open Eudora at all, fatal exception, etc. etc. even though I had reconfigured all defaults.
Sorry to be at such length. Kind of discouraged.
