I used to use Eudora. It is easy enough to export Eudora contacts to a CSV file and then import this file into Outlook. I did this recently when I got my husband set up on Outlook with all his Eudora contacts.

There are plenty of things you can do with a pocket pc if you don't want to use it as an organizer. See this article for some ideas:

There really is not replacement application that will allow you to sync contacts, appointment, tasks data to the pocket pc. I think I saw a third party app some time ago that may sync to Eudora. You could perform a google search and see if anything comes up.
