Small and light is perfect! Being in the Canadian military I often have to carry military versions of equipment that can be found smaller and lighter on "Civie Street" (as we call the civilian world). The CF Military "hand-held" GPS is a monstrous and ungainly thing and this receiver coupled with my personal Axim X51v would surely weigh less than a quarter of its weight. This equals "one less thing to carry" which is always a good thing. I would be able to take this easily on next years
Nijmegen March in which I plan to compete. Believe me when you're marching 40 kilometres a day it pays to carry as little "personal weight" as possible.
