So for every client there are a series of activities that occur in discrete time periods that you wish to be reminded of? I don't think I'd try to set this stuff up in a PIM application.

One of my most used applications on my pocket pc is ListPro. You could create a ListPro file that includes all the demographic data about your clients and an enrollment date. The file could include many different date records that could be automatically populated off of the enrollment date (or any other date field in the ListPro file). For example, you enroll Suzie Smith on November 1, 2007. There is a followup activity that needs to occur 6 months later. You would have a date field, we'll call it FU. When you add Suzy's new data, the enrollment date field gets populated with November 1, 2007 and the FU field is automatically set for 6 months into the future (approximately 180 days later). You can set alarms for each date field.

You can check out Listpro here:

Shopping lists, to do lists, grocery lists and checklists for Pocket PC, Palm and Smartphone - easily done with ListPro.
