Verizon DSL with Westell Modem, wireless setup of Linksys wifi

Hello Everyone,
I am having trouble setting up my modem with my linksys router. A while back (about a year ago) I changed my DSL service and since then I haven't been able to access to my router, no matter how I changed the modem settings. I tried Bridged, PPPoE, DHCP and other on Modem, it still won't allow me to access the router, it somehow took over 192.168.1.1 which should be the IP address of the router. I can still access the router if I just turn off the Modem or disconnect it.

So does anyone know what is the best way to restore it. I can call verizon, they will guide me through it , but I just don't have time to call and wait and wait.. That's my last resort.

With this set up, I am using PPPoE dialer from XP.
